GIS Developer

Successful candidates will be responsible for providing GIS development support for client solutions, including leading a team of GIS Developers.  The Senior GIS Developer will work as part of a team of software developers to develop GIS applications and tools and maintain software programs to support the needs of CGS and/or clients. 

Experience developing with ESRI Platform products including but not limited to ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro add-in development, ArcGIS Server geo-processing.  Development experience with ArcObjects, ArcGIS Python API and ArcPy.  ArcFM AutoUpdater, FME, and imagery/raster geo-processing experience, a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 10 years of Esri software development experience, with at least 1 year in ArcGIS Pro
  • 5 years of Python experience
  • Experience in Oracle Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL preferred
  • Ability to work in Enterprise GIS and a Esri Developer Certification preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Azure, Agile software and Amazon Web Services a plus
  • Must be a self-starter and work in an integrated team based environment
  • Creative, resourceful, and innovative problem solver.
  • Excellent computer skills under Windows environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to use Esri GIS software – desktop and Server based.
  • Ability to understand and extract GIS datasets from different sources.
  • Ability to convert GIS datasets in different formats.
  • Ability to write scripts or code (Perl, C++, Python, javascript, etc…).
  • Ability to exchange technical information with the client.
  • Experience working in transportation industry a plus
