Under the direction of the IT Director, the GIS technician would be supporting the efficient functioning of GIS operations by ensuring the accurate collection, integration, and maintenance of spatial data. They would play a crucial role in producing and updating maps and other data within the city, which are essential for various applications and decision-making processes. Additionally, GIS technicians provide technical support and ensure data quality, enabling effective use of GIS tools and resources across different projects and sectors. This position exercises no supervision.

•Gather, integrate, and manage diverse datasets for comprehensive GIS projects.
•Perform detailed analysis to interpret and visualize spatial data.
•Design, create, and maintain accurate and up to date maps.
•Oversee the organization, storage, and retrieval of GIS data in databases.
•Provide support and training for the effective use of GIS applications.
•Develop and customize GIS applications for both internal and external stakeholders.
•Collaborate with County GIS, CAD professionals, developers, and engineers, and generate detailed reports.
•Regular and consistent attendance of assigned work hours is essential.
