Seeking an Entry-to-Mid-level scientific professional who wants to join us and continue building a team focused on Environmental Planning—we are looking for candidates with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) skills to join our team within the Environmental Service Line in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. We are a 100% employee-owned company! You will work with an established environmental team that provides a wide range of services for federal, local, private, and state projects through both local and national accounts.

You will help our team to work together to prepare winning proposals and deliver proper scoping of services, and pricing to be profitable. As an experienced professional, you will have the opportunity to contribute and mentor staff during daily operations of a growing team including safety, project management, quality of services and work product, timely delivery of services and deliverables, and overall quality and client experience.


Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
  • Entry-to-Mid-level scientific professional responsible for gathering data and information to be evaluated and analyzed independently and by other team members. Assignments are designed to develop knowledge and abilities.
  • Assist in the creation of GIS data models for use in sound modeling.
  • Conduct environmental acoustic field studies.
  • Perform site visits, field observations and field data collection or assignments.
  • Assist with report preparation by summarizing data and information within report.
  • Perform specific GIS tasks under supervision, developing familiarity with projects and engineering/environmental design and operating procedures.
  • Tabulate and prepare data for written reports.
  • Operates field monitoring equipment.
  • Maintains, calibrates, and provides responsible care and routine inspection of all field equipment.
  • Flexible work environment with potential for hybrid work schedule.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, environmental science, engineering, computer science or related field.
  • Proficiency in use of ArcGIS Desktop GIS and Microsoft Office software, including electronic document preparation, is desirable.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
