The GIS Supply Data Analyst is critical in Driscoll’s Supply Execution Analytics effort. The core responsibilities for this role range from maintaining GIS data integrity and quality, data collection efficiency, and conducting spatial analysis to enhance business decision-making. This role is critical in identifying process automation and improvement opportunities, conducting research, and performing spatial and supply data analysis to uncover business insights. The GIS Supply Data Analyst supports the continuous improvement of the supply data collection process; provides expertise, support, assistance, and guidance to all critical stakeholders. With in-depth GIS knowledge, the analyst will be an active representative on various projects and company initiatives, serving as a subject matter expert for GIS integration with other business processes and platforms. This role will be critical in supporting the continued advancement of Driscoll’s GIS effort and will support the pursuit of end-to-end Supply Insights.
Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience.
Software knowledge required: ArcGIS Desktop 10.3+ and/or ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online suite of applications, Python, principles and practices of GPS.
Demonstrated use of ArcGIS for Desktop/Pro and ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise
Working familiarity with vector and raster data, remote sensing software and data types, geospatial processes, and analysis.
Familiarity with open-source GIS software, SQL principles, Python concepts including process automation, API interaction, and data analysis; GPS hardware & troubleshooting, Tableau or other data visualization software, ArcGIS Server capabilities, and ESRI’s suite of mobile applications are all helpful.
Previous experience applying GIS principles to solve complex problems in a business or research environment.
Experience with cartography/geospatial map design and data principles.
Ability to work independently, troubleshoot issues, innovate, and provide solutions in a dynamic, expanding, and fast-moving environment.
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
Adaptable to different working environments: offices, agricultural fields, and warehouse/cold storage to evaluate processes for integrating and deploying GIS.
