Applications are now open for the sixth annual MAP Fellowship, a six-month leadership program for early to mid-career professionals or students.
For 2026, one of our featured challenges is with PeopleForBikes, focused on advancing their work through the use of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) knowledge and mapping skills. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with GIS expertise to apply their skills to a real-world nonprofit challenge while receiving executive mentorship, project funding, and access to a national network.
The fellowship features a funded retreat in Orlando (March 2026), site-visit funding, dynamic virtual cohort sessions, and a funded retreat in Denver (September 2026). Fellows also receive up to $2,500 in professional development funding and $2,500 to advance their project through a grant to their nonprofit.
Applications close September 29, 2025.
