Resume Reviewal will begin October 1st, 2025.

The GIS Analyst supports spatial data and mapping needs across a variety of projects by managing, analyzing, and visualizing geospatial information. This role works closely with the GIS Manager and other team members to develop and maintain spatial datasets, perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), create static and simple interactive maps, and conduct spatial analysis to support decision-making. The GIS Analyst collaborates with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather requirements, develop GIS solutions, and ensure data integrity. This position also provides user support, troubleshoots GIS-related issues, and contributes to the continuous improvement of GIS workflows and standards.

Supports ongoing GIS projects by handling day-to-day GIS data development and maintenance, map creation, and analysis tasks.

Cartographic Design & Map Production - Design and produce high-quality static and interactive maps, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to cartographic best practices.

Maintain metadata for geospatial datasets in accordance with agency standards; create/update technical documentation for GIS data updates, workflows and procedures.

Conduct QA/QC on GIS data to identify errors, ensure data integrity, and maintain consistency across datasets.

Spatial Analysis - Perform spatial queries, geoprocessing, and analytical tasks to support decision-making and problem-solving.

Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement improvements to GIS workflows and processes.

Other duties as assigned as related to the position (typically 5% - 10%)
