GIS Analyst – ArcGIS Parcel Fabric Specialty

Data Development and Analysis

  • Create, edit, and maintain parcels, subdivisions, easements, and right-of-way data in Esri’s Parcel Fabric
  • Interpret legal descriptions, plats, deeds, and survey documents to support parcel mapping workflows
  • Conduct spatial analysis and produce high-quality maps, reports, and dashboards to support client deliverables
  • Develop strategies and recommendations based on spatial and tabular data analysis

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, project managers, and clients to achieve project goals
  • Communicate complex GIS and planning concepts in a clear and accessible manner
  • Maintain detailed documentation of new methods, processes, and workflows
  • Provide consistent progress updates to project managers and team leads
  • Support and mentor junior GIS staff when appropriate

Quality Assurance and Standards

  • Perform data validation, QA/QC, and error-checking to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Uphold standards for metadata, schema consistency, and topology within the Parcel Fabric environment

Professional Growth and Learning

  • Stay current with industry trends, Esri technology updates, and best practices in cadastral and parcel mapping
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Surveying, Urban Planning, or related field
  • Three (3) or more years of GIS experience, preferably in urban planning, land records, or cadastral mapping
  • Experience creating maps, managing geospatial databases, and performing spatial analysis using ArcGIS Pro
  • Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Proven attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Esri Parcel Fabric, including schema design, topology management, and record creation
  • Experience with ArcGIS Online applications (Experience Builder, Field Maps, Survey123, Dashboards)
  • Knowledge of geodatabase management, versioned editing, and SQL concepts
  • Exposure to land records, right-of-way mapping, or survey principles
  • Esri Foundations or Associate certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire at company expense)
