GIS Technician / Cartographer

Position: GIS Technician / Cartographer
Estimated Salary Range: $55,000 – $75,000 annually
Location: In-person at our Denver office or our Scottsdale Office preferred. Remote work is a possibility for West Coast applicants that are not in range of these 2 locations.

Our GIS and mapping team plays a critical role in supporting our advisors with high-quality cartographic and spatial analysis products.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality cartographic materials for digital and print use
• Create compelling maps and visualizations using ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro
• Maintain and update existing map products and cartographic styles
• Design layouts for print and digital deliverables
• Collect, process, and analyze geospatial data from various sources
• Apply cartographic best practices for symbology, labeling, and visual clarity
• Migrate workflows from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro
• Automate map production using ModelBuilder, Python scripting, and cartography tools
• Collaborate with GIS analysts, researchers, and internal stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience with ArcMap and/or ArcGIS Pro
• Strong understanding of cartographic principles and visual storytelling
• Proficiency with ArcGIS Desktop and extensions (Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, etc.)
• Experience working with geospatial data in a production environment
• Python and/or ModelBuilder experience is a plus
• Portfolio demonstrating GIS mapping skills and creativity
