As a Senior GIS Analyst, you would design, implement, maintain and manage the Central Arizona Project Enterprise GIS database, including spatial data layers, attribute data, and metadata. Ensures the integrity, quality and accurate content of data. Interface with internal customers to identify appropriate GIS applications, methods, and analysis for multiple projects in multiple departments. This position performs high-level spatial analysis that may include such activities as network modeling, 3D modeling, remote sensing, advanced data layer merging, and analyzing very complex and specialized GIS spatial scenarios. Design, develop and maintain complex GIS desktop, web, and mobile spatial applications. Responsible for maintenance and configuration of CAP’s Enterprise GIS Portal. Develop and provide technical support, software installation, GIS standards, training and guidance for GIS users at CAP. Provide substantial input into CAP’s over-all GIS strategic direction.

About the Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in GIS, geography, planning, information technology, or a closely related field plus Seven (7) years of recent and progressive experience as a GIS analyst. At least three (3) years of recent experience leading and developing large and complex GIS projects. Must possess a broad working knowledge of GIS systems, knowledge of principles, practices and methods related to the full ESRI suite of software including ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, ArcGIS Servers, Data Store, etc.); Enterprise Geodatabase; ArcGIS Pro; ArcGIS Spatial, Network and 3D extensions; Experience Builder; Collector for ArcGIS; Python scripting; and others. Required Certifications include a GIS professional certification through an approved curriculum such as the GIS Certification Institute or equivalent; or must be able to obtain certification within one year of employment.
Preference given to candidates who have experience working with relational enterprise databases such as SQL; AutoCAD data and integrations; data modeling; linear referencing; and working with Lidar and remote sensing data.
