The purpose of this position is to coordinate, develop and maintain GIS data and applications to ensure data availability and data quality for consumption across multiple departments. GIS Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining GIS basemap information and ArcGIS online maps, producing complex GIS products and analysis, customizing data for integration with other systems, managing GIS related projects, and supporting City staff who use GIS applications.

Graduation for a 4-year college or university with a degree in geography, surveying, computer science, urban planning or related; GISP or other related industry certifications preferred; 2-5 years experience with asset management systems such as Cityworks/Freeance Mobile, iWorQ, SunGard or other systems; and diagnosing and troubleshooting GIS and related software problems.
GIS technical and cartographic skills required;
Strong writing and oral communication skills;
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, contractors, City officials and the general public; and
Ability to create and implement new and innovation ideas to help build a "smart" city.
